How to Get Published Event at Writing Center Feb 24

Post by Lena » Thu Feb 18, 2016 9:34 pm

This is from my UCCS e-mail listing. Thought someone might find it interesting.

On Feb. 24 from 6-8 at the Writing Center, Columbine 316, poet and short story writer Chris Bacavis, indy publisher Kayla Gronseth, and UCCS professor, novelist, and former Editor in Chief of Aignos Publishing Jonathan Marcantoni, will present a seminar on the challenges of becoming a published author.

The event will cover the importance of branding, social media presence, networking, writing query letters, community engagement, and organizing events on the path to publication. The seminar will be followed by a Q&A.

Refreshments will be provided.

The event is free and open to the public. If you are interested in having your students attend the event, please RSVP to Ashley Owen at: aowen2@uccs.edu.

That actually looks interesting. I'll have to skip chess that week, but it might be worth it.
