How to find event/groups?

Post events that would interest authors along the Front Range. Conventions? Author related conferences? We would love to hear about it.

How to find event/groups?

Post by Brittany Thurman » Fri Dec 11, 2015 3:17 am

I am trying to build connections with authors and other editors, and one tip I have heard over and over is that I should be attending writing conferences and groups. But... I have no idea how to find those. Google isn't quite as helpful as I was hoping.

Does anyone have any tips on finding these groups?

Do a search for fantasy and sci-fi conventions in the Omaha area. Great places to meet authors and as you go to multiple conventions and talk to the same authors you'll start to build a relationship.

Also, you can ask those authors for writing or critique groups.
