The Formula of Fantasy Fiction

Post by JL Zenor » Sun Jan 24, 2016 6:31 pm

Jim Butcher, best selling author, has stated many times that the only reason his books finally selling was because he started following one of his teacher's formulas for story telling. At first, just to prove how wrong she was in how a formula always makes cookie cutter books, and then, after showing how wrong she was by selling that book to a publisher, he decided that maybe she was onto something.

That teacher of his is now coming out with a book with that process. It sounds interesting. Comes out in a couple of weeks.

The hardback is an actual college textbook, so, it's pricy. But the paperback is reasonably priced.
